Glenkirk Transportation for People With Disabilities

Bill Bauer is the transportation coordinator and oversees the maintenance of all Glenkirk vehicles, including tracking of mileage and expenses and scheduling of drivers.

Glenkirk Transportation provides individuals with disabilities to live independently within their communities. The transportation access from their homes includes employment, healthcare, education, and all areas of community life.

Glenkirk currently operates a fleet of:

  • Twenty-two passenger vans serving 105 individuals
  • Eleven passenger vans, with wheelchair access, serving 10 non-ambulatory individuals and another 45 ambulatory individuals
  • Five busses which require specially certified drivers; drivers must be 21, have a good driving record and be available for random drug testing. These vehicles can serve 33 ambulatory individuals and 3 non-ambulatory individuals.
  • Glenkirk also utilizes PACE door to door transportation services for 67 individuals.
