About the Speaker: Dr. Guercio, an expert in behavior analysis, has dedicated his career to researching and developing effective staff training protocols and behavior intervention strategies for individuals exhibiting severe aggression. With advanced degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Dr. Guercio has held prominent roles such as Director of Behavioral Services for the Missouri Department of Mental Health and Vice President of Clinical Services at the Judevine Center for Autism in St. Louis.
In his current role as Clinical Director at Benchmark Human Services, Dr. Guercio designs and delivers behavioral services for high-risk clients, helping reduce reliance on medications and promoting community integration. He has authored or co-authored five books on behavior analysis and published over 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Guercio is an adjunct faculty member at several universities and has presented at more than 500 conferences. He brings decades of experience working with populations exhibiting severe behavioral challenges, including individuals with sexually deviant behavior and substance abuse issues. His pioneering approaches have transformed lives, helping clients reduce medication dosages and adopt positive behaviors.
