Life Balance Services

Life Balance Services provide individuals with choices of behavioral health supports and therapeutic services, including individual and group counseling and therapy.

Services are provided by board-certified and licensed clinicians specializing in providing services and supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Services promote personal growth and development, as well as increased self-esteem and social connectedness.

Behavioral health clinic

The Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) fills gaps in the mental health service delivery system and increases access to high-quality services for individuals enrolled in Medicaid.

In 2018, the Illinois Department of Health and Family Services (HFS), which administers the State’s Medicaid program, launched the Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) model. Per HFS, BHCs are smaller entities focused on specific populations or diseases which meet community needs with flexible services. BHCs serve individuals with low to moderate-intensity needs by assisting those individuals to remain in the community rather than being placed in costly institutional settings.
